Femme Rouge

This has to be one of my all-time favourite lipsticks. It's pure luxury, from the custom metal exterior to the soft and silky formula inside.

The Hourglass Femme Rouge Velvet Crème Lipsticks are so hydrating and butter soft! There are 16 different shades available but mine has to be 'NOCTURNAL'. It's such a gorgeous and saturated plum-wine colour with a slight shine. What I love about these lipsticks is that they are super moisturising so it can be used alone without any lip balm or lip gloss. They also tend to transfer a lot less than your average lipstick, which means you don't need to re-apply it as often. It also contains Vitamin E and is free of any parabens and sulphates.

This lipstick retails for $44 at MECCA, so it is a little on the pricey side for my fellow Australians. However, if you live in the US, it retails for about $30. I've had mine for over a year now and I've had so much wear out of it, so in my opinion it was worth the splurge.

TIP ♡

Just remember, if you are going to purchase it, make sure to find a shade that's right for you. Ask for a sample! What looks good on the back of your hand doesn't necessarily look good on your lips. Trust me, I've been disappointed so many times after coming home and realising the lipstick I chose didn't actually suit me even though the swatch on my hand looked so pretty.
