Lips On The Go!

As a Make-up Artist, the worst thing is having to go through a stash of lipsticks looking for the perfect shade for your client. Not only does it make you look unorganised, but it's super inconvenient and takes up unnecessary space in your kit.
So what I love to do is create my own lip palettes! This way, I can keep all of my favourite colours together and organise them exactly the way I want.
I purchased a MAC Pro Palette Medium Compact ($30) and a Pro Palette Eyes/Concealer X 9 Insert ($15) to create my palette. MAC has other empty palettes available, this is just what I prefer to use. This palette is actually meant for eyeshadow/concealer inserts, but I use it for my lipsticks.
You can have fun and arrange your colours however you like..I personally like to arrange my lipsticks from lightest to darkest - it just makes the palette look more 'professional'.
TIP ♡
Take a make-up spatula and de-pot your lipstick. Put the lipstick on a tablespoon and place it over a candle flame. Once the lipstick melts, pour it in to the palette and let it dry (this should only take a few minutes).
Note: MAC inserts are open from either sides, so make sure to secure a piece of cardboard paper at the back to prevent any lipstick leakage.
Honestly, I think all make-up should just come in palettes, it's so portable and convenient.
You have eyeshadow palettes, blush palettes, contour palettes..time to add your own custom lip palette to your collection!
